What it's all about.
The 'lightbulb moment' that inspired Women Who happened when I was at something of a career crossroads, completely unsure of what to do next, and knowing only that I was desperate for more freedom and creative fulfilment from my career. It also happened to be a period where I wasn't really working with many other women – which is no coincidence. My most rewarding professional relationships have almost always been with other women, and my biggest breakthroughs and best ideas tend to come from those relationships.
Knowing that my own experiences couldn't be unique, I decided to combine the things I’m most inspired by – creativity, women, and work – into a platform that could provide support and inspiration for working women everywhere.
Introducing Women Who: a London-based community for creative working women.
A modern base for women rewriting traditional career paths and bringing original ideas to life.
Connecting women who, separately, have the same thoughts when they wake up in the morning.
Whether you’re an artist, a maker, a thinker or an entrepreneur - you’ll find plenty of fresh ideas for life in and out of the office in The Toolkit, a go-to resource full of insights from women who’ve ‘been there’ (and in many cases are very much still ‘there’). Or join us IRL at Women Who events - think of them as a third space between work and play, where you can network, trade ideas, and have a little fun!
Wanting the freedom to be more creative is just one story. I’m sure there are many more out there, and I’d love to hear them. There’s plenty more to come too, so check back regularly – or make it easy on yourself and follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
Let's get connected.
